Disney Twisted Wonderland The Animation Season 2, subtitled Episode of Savanaclaw, will premiere exclusively on Disney+ in December 2026. The announcement arrived on July 27 alongside a new teaser visual featuring the Savanaclaw dorm trio, timed to coincide with dormitory leader Leona Kingscholar's birthday.

A New Arc at Night Raven College

The second season shifts the spotlight from the Heartslabyul dormitory to Savanaclaw, one of the seven dorms at Night Raven College. The freshly unveiled teaser visual features the dorm's three central members - Leona Kingscholar, Jack Howl, and Ruggie Bucchi - accompanied by the tagline "A wicked plot begins." Like its predecessor, Episode of Savanaclaw will run for eight episodes and stream exclusively on Disney+.

The anime is based on the popular Disney villain-inspired smartphone game, which features original character designs and scenario work by Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler. A broader three-season anime adaptation plan has been mapped out covering Episode of Heartslabyul, Episode of Savanaclaw, and Episode of Octavinelle. Production on the third installment, Episode of Octavinelle, has also been officially confirmed, though no release window has been announced for it yet.

Cast and Production Staff

The core Savanaclaw voice cast brings Yuichiro Umehara as the lion-inspired dorm leader Leona Kingscholar, Taito Ban as the disciplined and earnest Jack Howl, and Aoi Ichikawa as the resourceful Ruggie Bucchi. Yohei Azakami returns as protagonist Yuken Enma, the player-surrogate character who navigates the trials of Night Raven College. The broader ensemble from the first season also reprises their roles, with Natsuki Hanae, Seiichiro Yamashita, and Chiaki Kobayashi among the returning cast members representing the various other dormitories across the school.

Behind the scenes, the production team carries over from the first season largely intact. Yumeta Company and Graphinica return as co-animation studios. Takahiro Natori continues in the dual role of chief director and series script supervisor, with Shin Katagai directing. Yoichi Kato handles the main writing duties, while Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato serve as character designers. Takumi Ozawa composes the musical score, Miho Sugawara returns as sound director, and Aniplex oversees music production. The opening theme will once again be performed by The Night Ravens.

Building on the Heartslabyul Foundation

Episode of Heartslabyul, the first eight-episode season, debuted on Disney+ in October 2025. That initial season introduced the anime adaptation's version of Yana Toboso's richly designed world, following protagonist Yuken Enma's unexpected arrival at Night Raven College and the dramatic events surrounding the Heartslabyul dorm and its strict leader.

The Savanaclaw arc takes the story in a distinctly different direction, centering on Leona Kingscholar - a second-year student whose ambition and deep-seated frustration drive much of the dormitory's internal conflict. Drawing thematic inspiration from classic Disney villains, the game's Savanaclaw storyline explores rivalry, jealousy, and unfulfilled potential through its competitive cast of characters. The shift in tone from Heartslabyul's focus on rigid rules and order to Savanaclaw's themes of raw ambition promises a markedly different atmosphere for the second season.
