The TV anime Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love unveiled its main promotional trailer after an October 31 announcement at the Ikebukuro Halloween Cosplay Festival 2026. The video introduces Enako's opening theme, "剛よく恋を制す!?", and confirms that she will also voice Nene Haneshita in the series.

What the main trailer reveals

The main trailer is the first preview to pair footage from the romantic comedy with part of Enako's opening song. That makes the music reveal more than a title announcement: viewers can now hear how the track accompanies the anime's central mix of police work, emotional confusion, and awkward attempts at romance.

It also marks the first release of character voices for four previously announced roles. Haruki Ishiya voices Danjuro Iwata, Takuma Nagatsuka voices Masato Nakatani, Hiiro Ishibashi voices Chikai Matsumoto, and Yu Wakui voices Rena Yamakawa. Their dialogue expands the trailer beyond its two leads and gives the supporting cast a clearer presence in the show's world.

Enako's involvement covers both music and acting. Alongside performing "剛よく恋を制す!?", she joins the cast as Nene Haneshita. The official announcement presented both parts of her participation during the festival's special ceremony in Ikebukuro. Her official profile describes her work across cosplay, magazine gravure, television, commercials, and live events. It also credits her with more than six million followers across social platforms and notes her induction into the Top Cover Award hall of fame in 2026.

The romance mystery behind the series

Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love centers on Rinna Isshiki, a 17-year-old police inspector who graduated at the top of her university class after skipping grades. She serves in the Modern Crime Response Special Investigation Headquarters. Intelligent and composed, she has earned the nickname "Steel" and believes romance has no place in her life.

That certainty starts to break down around Meishi Rokutanda, an investigative collaborator described as a clumsy detective. Rinna experiences a racing heart and unfamiliar agitation when the two are together, feelings she cannot explain through her usual cool reasoning. Meishi proposes that they pretend to date so they can identify the cause, turning a romantic experiment into the pair's next difficult case.

Their arrangement is meant to stay secret, and the official story presents both characters as beginners confronting first love. The setup makes emotional uncertainty the case they must solve together, while Rinna tries to preserve the controlled identity that earned her nickname. Her professional confidence and personal confusion form the central contrast behind the comedy.

The premise treats first love like a mystery that two inexperienced people must investigate. That framework gives the newly previewed opening theme and the supporting voices a clear place: they accompany Rinna's effort to understand emotions that resist her normally methodical approach.

The main trailer now provides the clearest combined look at the anime's story, wider cast, and opening music. Enako's dual credit as theme performer and Nene Hageshita is the central new production reveal.
