Post-Apocalyptic Manga Tsugumi Project Gets TV Anime from East Fish Studio

ippatu's post-apocalyptic manga Tsugumi Project is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. East Fish Studio will produce the series, with director Osamu Honma leading the project alongside screenwriter Yoko Yonaiyama and character designer Haruka Sagawa.

Tsugumi Project is set in the far future, where a soldier named Leon is ripped from his family on fabricated charges and thrust into a suicide mission. His objective: recover a dangerous weapon from a place ruled by massive, irradiated, mutated monsters - a place that was once known, 200 years earlier, as Japan.

The manga, written and illustrated by ippatu, was serialized in Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine from January 2021 through late 2023. The series was compiled into seven volumes in Japan and is also available in English through Kodansha USA Publishing.
