Date A Live F Last Date Film Sets March 26, 2027 Premiere
Date A Live F Last Date will open in Japanese theaters on March 26, 2027, with a new teaser and visual previewing the anime film's final conflict.

Date A Live F Last Date will open in Japanese theaters on March 26, 2027. The newly dated anime film is being presented as the final chapter of Shido Itsuka and Tohka Yatogami's main story, with a fresh teaser trailer and second teaser visual accompanying the announcement.
The final date is set
The film continues a franchise that has already received five television anime seasons and earlier theatrical projects. Its official introduction describes Date A Live as a 15-year anime project and positions F Last Date as a completely new animation that will bring the central narrative into its last stage.
That framing matters because the story is not being marketed as a detached side adventure. The official synopsis follows the resolution of the long conflict involving DEM and Mio Takamiya, after Shido and the Spirits have seemingly reached the peaceful coexistence they fought to achieve. A new sign of trouble appears through the all-knowing angel Rasiel, whose record points toward another truth about their world.
The latest promotional material centers the darker side of Tohka. The new teaser begins with Inverse Tohka and includes new footage from the film, while the second teaser visual places her against shattered stained glass. Together, the trailer and artwork signal that Tohka will be central to the conflict closing out the main story.
Date A Live's core premise gives this endgame its particular shape: Shido can seal a Spirit's overwhelming power by winning her trust and kissing her. What began with his first encounter with Tohka expanded into a conflict spanning spacequakes, Ratatoskr, DEM, and the origins of the Spirits. The film now turns that long-running rescue story back toward the pair at its center.
The March date also turns the previously announced continuation into a specific theatrical release. The official site lists Japanese theater screenings and has opened a theater information section, giving fans a concrete window for the franchise's return.
Returning staff and cast
Junji Nishimura is directing the film, with Fumihiko Shimo handling the screenplay. Naoto Nakamura is credited with character design, Fugaku is producing the animation, and ANIMEC is distributing the release. The source light novels were written by Koshi Tachibana with illustrations by Tsunako under Kadokawa's Fantasia Bunko label.
Nobunaga Shimazaki returns as Shido, while Marina Inoue voices Tohka. The announced cast also brings back Misuzu Togashi as Origami Tobiichi, Ayana Taketatsu as Kotori Itsuka, Iori Nomizu as Yoshino, and Asami Sanada as Kurumi Tokisaki.
Other returning Spirit cast members include Maaya Uchida as Kaguya, Sarah Emi Bridcutt as Yuzuru, Minori Chihara as Miku, Ayumi Mano as Natsumi, Hitomi Nabatame as Nia, Akari Kageyama as Mukuro, and Aya Endo as Mio. That ensemble connects the film directly to the large cast assembled across the television series.
The Japanese theatrical premiere on March 26, 2027 is the next fixed milestone for Date A Live F Last Date. International theatrical and streaming plans have not been announced.
