Wound & Bandage Adds Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa to Its Cast
Wound & Bandage added Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa as Bandage Alliance members in a cast reveal accompanied by a third teaser and new theme visual.

Wound & Bandage added Yuka Iguchi and Yoko Hikasa to its TV anime cast on October 30, 2026, pairing the reveal with a third teaser video and a new theme visual. Iguchi voices Magical Penpengusa, while Hikasa plays Matsudaemon, two members of the story's Bandage Alliance online community.
The new Bandage Alliance voices
The Bandage Alliance is an in-story internet group tied to the unusual interest at the center of Umihoshi Nanai's romantic comedy. Its members share a fascination with moments when powerful people appear vulnerable. The protagonist participates in the group under the handle Wamp Samurai, giving the newly introduced characters a direct link to her online life. They are presented as fellow members of the same community, alongside the heroine's online identity, Wamp Samurai.
Iguchi described the recording sessions as even more entertaining than reading the original manga, pointing to the cast's performances and improvisation as part of the experience. Hikasa characterized Matsudaemon as delicate, timid, and prone to tears despite her outward appearance. She also highlighted the character's kind, older-sister quality, indicating the role will balance comic nervousness with a gentler side.
Their casting expands an ensemble that already includes Hisako Kanemoto as the heroine, Chikahiro Kobayashi as the young yakuza underboss assigned to care for her, and Shoya Ishige as Ginsuke Hatobane. The setup follows the underboss as he discovers the heroine's fixation on the contrast between strength and weakness, an interest she calls "Yowara." That contrast gives the Bandage Alliance more than a background role: the group represents the online space where her private enthusiasm becomes a shared language.
What the teaser and visual show
The latest promotional video is built around the theme of "companions" and spotlights the Bandage Alliance members together. It includes scenes focused on the group's particular sense of humor and closes with Kiritani questioning whether he might share their unusual interest. The accompanying third theme visual brings the heroine, Magical Penpengusa, and Matsudaemon together and incorporates imagery drawn from the manga's Bandage Alliance moments.
The reveal also keeps the anime's broader production picture clear. Miyuki Ishida is directing the series at J.C.STAFF, with Susumu Yamakawa handling the script and Natsuki Oyama credited for character design. The adaptation is based on Nanai's manga, which runs through Kodansha's Comic Days platform.
Wound & Bandage is scheduled to begin airing and streaming in Japan on January 9, 2027. The anime's romantic-comedy premise places an eccentric personal interest inside a yakuza household story: a seemingly quiet boss's daughter surprises the subordinate responsible for her care, and their relationship develops as he becomes entangled in her worldview. The new teaser shifts attention beyond that central pair by showing the online circle that shares her fascination.
With Iguchi and Hikasa now attached to two Bandage Alliance members, the cast announcement gives both the new visual and third teaser a clear character focus. The next confirmed milestone is the November 6 reveal of the key visual and full promotional video, ahead of the anime's January 9, 2027 Japanese premiere.
