Millennium Family Manga Gets Anime Adaptation with Cast, Staff, and Teaser Revealed

Akira Kasugai's Millennium Family manga is officially getting an anime adaptation. Studio PartsCraft will produce the series with Masato Jinbo directing, and voice actor Rikuya Yasuda has been cast as protagonist Theo. A teaser visual and promotional trailer accompanied the July 27 announcement.

The Story Behind Millennium Family

The manga, published under its Japanese title Odoru Sennen Kazoku, launched in Shonengahosha's Young King OURs magazine in March 2021. The series centers on seven immortal siblings born in England who possess what the story frames as humanity's ultimate dream - eternal life. Their extraordinary nature, however, makes them perpetual targets. Criminal organizations, corrupt medical institutions, and international military forces all pursue the siblings, turning their supposed gift into a source of constant danger and upheaval.

The manga has maintained a steady presence in Young King OURs over the past five years. Eight compiled volumes are currently in circulation, with the ninth volume scheduled for release on July 30, 2026 - arriving just days after the anime adaptation was revealed. The timing of the announcement alongside a new volume release underscores growing momentum behind the property and suggests coordinated promotional planning between the publisher and the production committee.

Production Staff

Masato Jinbo takes the director's chair for the project. Jinbo brings experience from helming anime adaptations including Senryu Girl and Restaurant to Another World, both of which balanced character-driven storytelling with distinct genre sensibilities. Beyond directing, Jinbo will supervise series composition for Millennium Family, pointing to a hands-on approach in shaping how Kasugai's source material makes the transition to animation.

PartsCraft handles animation production. The production committee includes publisher Shonengahosha, which serializes the original manga.

Rikuya Yasuda has been announced as the voice of Theo, the series' protagonist. No additional cast members have been revealed at this stage, with further announcements expected as production progresses.
