Two new cast members join the roster for the second season. Sayumi Watabe takes on the role of Iroha Akasaka, a new addition to the story's expanding corporate magical girl world. Meanwhile, Mariko Higashiuchi steps in as Hitomi Koshigaya, replacing Yumiri Hanamori, who stepped down from the role after Season 1.
The returning cast remains largely intact, with Fairouz Ai reprising her lead role as Kana Sakuragi. Rikiya Koyama returns as Koji Shigemoto, Daiki Yamashita as Kazuo Nikoyama, and Ryota Osaka as Midorikawa ensuring continuity for the show's core ensemble.
Several behind-the-scenes changes mark the transition into Season 2. Director Riki Fukushima continues at the helm, while character designer Masahiro Fujii and composer Makoto Miyazaki also return in their respective roles. The ending theme, titled "BooooM!!!", will be performed by Hololive VTuber Houshou Marine. The collaboration bridges the anime and VTuber fandoms, a crossover that has become increasingly common as VTuber talent expands into mainstream anime productions. The opening theme artist has not yet been announced.
Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. is based on the manga by Sekka Iwata and Yu Aoki, which was serialized on Shonen Jump+ beginning in October 2021. The manga concluded in July 2025 after 160 chapters, with the final collected volume released in September 2025. VIZ Media holds the English license for the series. With the source material now complete, Season 2 has a finished narrative to draw from, which could mean a more tightly paced adaptation.
Amazon Prime Video streamed the first season globally, and while no official streaming confirmation has been made for Season 2 yet, a similar arrangement is widely expected.
