The Eternal Fool’s Words of Wisdom Reveals Main Visual and Minori Fujidera Casting

The production team for The Eternal Fool's Words of Wisdom: A Pawsitively Fantastic Adventure unveiled the television anime's main visual on October 26. The update also names Minori Fujidera as the voice of Rina and confirms that the fantasy series will premiere in Japan in January 2027, with Crunchyroll streaming it during the same month.

Asley, Pochi, and Rina take center stage

The main visual brings Asley, his longtime canine companion Pochi, and Rina together in front of the Incantation Institute, one of the anime's central locations. Magic circles, glowing staffs, and the imposing school buildings frame the trio, placing the story's adventurous fantasy setting at the center of the new promotional image.

Rina lives in Falltown, a community left devastated by destruction. She is described as kindhearted, determined, and willing to give her full effort despite her young appearance. She fights with a sword but also has an unrecognized talent for magic, a combination that connects her directly to the wider magical world surrounding Asley.

Minori Fujidera said she approached Rina's development with particular care and was honored to play the character. She also highlighted the lively exchanges between Asley and Pochi, comparing their comic rhythm to a comedy duo and pointing to their banter as one of the series' charms.

The anime follows Asley after he accidentally creates the Eternity Elixir and gains a body that no longer ages. He spends the next 5,000 years studying magic and developing spells before leaving on a journey with Pochi, his 800-year-old familiar. Helping someone along the way changes the direction of their travels and begins a new adventure for the unusually powerful but socially inexperienced sorcerer.

Creators celebrate the anime adaptation

Original character designer Kurihito Muto and manga adaptation artist Fuh Araki also produced celebratory illustrations for the latest announcement. Muto expressed anticipation for the comedy between Asley and Pochi as well as the many characters around them, including Rina, Aileen, Warren, and the members of Silver. Araki focused on the experience of seeing familiar characters gain voices and movement through animation.

Keisuke Onishi is directing the series at Studio Elle. Kurasumi Sunayama is handling series composition and scripts, while Yumiko Mizuno is responsible for character design. Yuri Habuka is composing the music, with Lantis overseeing music production. The lead cast also includes Toshiyuki Toyonaga as Asley and Yoko Hikasa as Pochi.

The wider production team includes background artists Hiroshi Izumi and Kaya Aoki, with Aoki also serving as art director. Yusuke Watanabe is handling color design, Yusaku Murakami is director of photography, and Yukio Nagasaki is sound director. Hiromune Kurahashi is credited for sound effects, while Procen Studio is responsible for sound production.

The anime adapts Hifumi's light novel series, which features original character designs by Muto and also inspired Araki's manga adaptation. Its January 2027 Japanese broadcast and streaming window are confirmed, while a precise premiere date has not yet been announced.
