Studio ARECT's Cyborg 009: Nemesis has locked in its full 18-member voice cast with Junko Minagawa as Cyborg 001, accompanied by a new group visual ahead of its summer 2026 premiere.

Studio ARECT confirmed the final piece of its Cyborg 009: Nemesis casting puzzle on June 11, revealing Junko Minagawa as Cyborg 001 (Ivan Whiskey). The announcement completes the anime's full 18-member voice cast and arrives alongside a new character visual spotlighting both the hero and villain squads ahead of the series' summer 2026 debut.
The nine-member hero team features several of modern anime's most recognizable voices. Yuki Kaji headlines as protagonist Cyborg 009 (Joe Shimamura), joined by Mamoru Miyano as Cyborg 002 (Jet Link), Saori Hayami as Cyborg 003 (Francoise Arnoul), Tomokazu Sugita as Cyborg 004 (Albert Heinrich), Hiroki Yasumoto as Cyborg 005 (Geronimo Junior), Mitsuaki Kanuka as Cyborg 006 (Chang Changku), Kentaro Tone as Cyborg 007 (Great Britain), Yu Hayashi as Cyborg 008 (Pyunma), and now Junko Minagawa rounding out the squad as infant-genius Cyborg 001.
Minagawa, known for voicing young male and child characters across a long career, is a natural fit for Ivan Whiskey, a psychically gifted baby who has been a cornerstone of the franchise since Shotaro Ishinomori's original manga.
Matching the heroes blow for blow is a nine-member villain roster called the Nemesis squad. Yuichi Nakamura leads as Nemesis 009 (Graviton), the ideological foil to Kaji's Joe Shimamura. The rest of the antagonist team includes Yoshimasa Hosoya as Nemesis 002 (Blizzard), Hiroshi Kamiya as Nemesis 003 (Crack), Kikuko Inoue as Nemesis 004 (Opulo), Tetsu Inada as Nemesis 005 (Aspida), Shion Wakayama as Nemesis 006 (Blitz), Maaya Uchida as Nemesis 007 (Morphine), Ayane Sakura as Nemesis 008 (Depths), and Rina Hidaka as Nemesis 001 (Mew).
The mirrored structure sets up an ideological conflict rather than a purely physical one, with each Nemesis member designed to challenge the philosophy and abilities of their corresponding original cyborg.
Cyborg 009: Nemesis is produced by ARECT in collaboration with Ishimori Production, the company that manages Shotaro Ishinomori's extensive catalog of properties. Director Hideki Anbo helms the project, with scripts by Atsuhiro Tomioka and CHARATEX. Character designs are handled by sanorin.
The newly released group visual presents both teams in a face-off composition, emphasizing the symmetry between the hero and villain lineups that defines the show's central premise.
With the full cast now in place, Cyborg 009: Nemesis is set to premiere in the summer 2026 anime season. Crunchyroll will handle distribution across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Oceania, making the series widely accessible to international audiences from day one. A specific premiere date has not yet been announced. The anime marks one of the most ambitious revivals of Ishinomori's classic sci-fi franchise, pitting an all-star voice cast against itself in a battle of mirrored cyborg warriors.
