Crunchyroll and Starz launched a joint US streaming bundle through Amazon Prime Video on July 29, priced at $16.99 per month. The deal marks Crunchyroll's first bundle offering in the United States and delivers over 23 percent savings compared to subscribing to each service separately.

What the Bundle Includes

The package combines Starz's library of original scripted series and films with Crunchyroll's extensive anime catalog. On the Starz side, subscribers gain access to the complete Power Universe franchise, along with upcoming premieres including Fightland on July 31, the finale season of Power Book III: Raising Kanan beginning August 7, and Outlander: Blood of My Blood premiering September 18.

Crunchyroll's contribution spans marquee anime franchises such as Dragon Ball, Naruto, My Hero Academia, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and Cowboy Bebop. The platform's August 2026 slate adds BLACK TORCH, Mushoku Tensei Season 3, and ONE PIECE HEROINES to the lineup.

Pricing Breakdown

Starz's standalone subscription runs $11.99 per month, while Crunchyroll's ad-free Fan Tier costs $9.99 per month. Purchased individually, those two services total $21.98 monthly. The $16.99 bundle price shaves roughly $5 off that combined cost each month. The announcement did not specify which Crunchyroll tier is included in the bundle, though the platform offers plans ranging from the $9.99 Fan Tier up to the $17.99 Ultimate Fan Tier, which adds offline viewing, six simultaneous streams, and merchandise discounts.

Crunchyroll raised its subscription prices in February 2026, pushing the Ultimate Fan Tier from $15.99 to $17.99. The bundle arrives as the platform continues to seek new subscriber growth following its decision to discontinue free, ad-supported streaming at the end of 2025.

What the Companies Are Saying

Starz President Alison Hoffman said the bundle "enables us to broaden our reach and introduce the Starz slate" to new audiences. Crunchyroll Chief Product Officer Terry Li described the launch as "a meaningful step in expanding how fans can discover and connect" with anime. Matt Huntley, Director at Prime Video, stated that the addition "reflects Prime Video's commitment to delivering value and convenience" to its customer base.

A Growing Trend in Streaming Bundles

The partnership follows a broader industry pattern of streaming services joining forces to combat subscriber churn and offer competitive pricing. Amazon's Prime Video marketplace has become a hub for third-party channel bundles, and the Crunchyroll-Starz pairing adds a distinctive cross-genre combination that bridges anime and premium scripted entertainment.

For Crunchyroll - a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Aniplex - the deal represents a strategic expansion beyond its core anime audience. By sitting alongside Starz's drama-heavy catalog on one of the largest streaming storefronts in the US, the service gains visibility among viewers who may not have previously explored anime.

Eligible customers in the United States can purchase the Crunchyroll and Starz bundle now through the Prime Video app or website.
