Crunchyroll has added BamBam, TEN, Young Miko, and Ethan Bortnick as presenters for the tenth annual Anime Awards ceremony in Tokyo on May 23.

Crunchyroll has expanded the celebrity presenter lineup for its tenth annual Anime Awards, adding BamBam, TEN, Young Miko, and Ethan Bortnick to the May 23 ceremony at the Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa in Tokyo.
The newly announced presenters bring a global cross-genre presence to the milestone event. BamBam, the Thai rapper and member of K-pop group GOT7, and TEN, a Thai singer and dancer from NCT and WayV, represent the K-pop world's growing overlap with anime fandom. Young Miko, the GRAMMY-nominated Puerto Rican artist, and Ethan Bortnick, an acclaimed contemporary musician and pianist, round out the latest wave of additions.
They join a roster that already includes The Weeknd, Indian actor Rashmika Mandanna, Wu-Tang Clan's RZA, actor Winston Duke, and Japanese entertainer Asuka Saitō. The increasingly international slate underscores how deeply anime culture has penetrated mainstream entertainment worldwide.
Mandanna's return marks her second appearance at the Anime Awards after her historic debut at the 2024 ceremony. The Indian actor has been vocal about her love for anime storytelling and previously featured in a Crunchyroll India advertising campaign alongside cricketer Shubman Gill. Her presence at a marquee global anime event continues to signal the platform's investment in the Indian market, where anime viewership has surged in recent years.
Beyond the presenter announcements, the ceremony will feature a special performance by Yoko Takahashi, the iconic vocalist behind Neon Genesis Evangelion's opening theme "A Cruel Angel's Thesis." The performance marks the 30th anniversary of the landmark series. The Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Hirofumi Kurita, will also perform symphonic suites throughout the evening, lending orchestral weight to the celebration.
Returning hosts Jon Kabira and voice actress Sally Amaki will lead the broadcast for the fourth consecutive year. The ceremony covers 32 award categories honoring anime released between January and December 2025. A pre-show kicks off at 5:00 PM JST, with the main event beginning at 6:00 PM JST.
The entire ceremony will stream live on Crunchyroll's Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube channels, as well as Sony Group's global and Japanese YouTube channels, with programming available in nine languages.
With only five days until the ceremony, the tenth Anime Awards shapes up as the most star-packed edition yet, blending international celebrity fandom with a landmark tribute to one of anime's most enduring franchises.
