Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force revealed in a new announcement video on August 3 that Attack on Titan 3 will launch on December 10, 2026. The action game arrives on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The Full Story From Beginning to End

Attack on Titan 3 is billed as the culmination of the action game series, depicting the Attack on Titan storyline from its Survey Corps beginnings to its dramatic conclusion. Players will be able to engage in combat against the Nine Titans for the first time while experiencing brand-new story content that explores additional characters and lore beyond what the previous entries covered.

MAPPA - the studio behind the anime's final season - will produce an original opening animation sequence for the game, though the studio's contribution will be added through a post-launch update rather than shipping at release.

Editions and Pre-Order Details

Three versions of the game are available for pre-order. The Standard Edition comes in both digital and physical formats. A SteelBook Launch Edition featuring ICONART packaging is also available for collectors. The Digital Deluxe Edition bundles a digital artbook, three costumes, seven creator parts, bonus in-game items, and 72-hour early access to the game before the general launch.

Digital pre-orders across all editions include the "Wings of Freedom Earrings" customization item. First-print physical copies and digital purchases made through December 23 will also receive the "Wings of Freedom Hoodie" as an additional bonus.

Players who have save data from Attack on Titan 2 or its Final Battle expansion on the same console will receive in-game bonuses, rewarding long-time fans of the series.

Language Support and Accessibility

The game features Japanese audio with text localization in nine languages: Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. The broad localization lineup signals Koei Tecmo's push for a simultaneous worldwide release across all four platforms.

What This Means for the Franchise

Attack on Titan 3 marks the first major console game entry for the franchise since Attack on Titan 2: Final Battle launched in 2019. Omega Force - best known for the Dynasty Warriors series - returns to handle development, continuing its long partnership with the Attack on Titan property. The promise of covering the complete anime storyline, including the divisive final arc that MAPPA animated, gives the studio a chance to translate some of the series' most intense moments into playable form for the first time.

With a December 10 launch window, Attack on Titan 3 enters a competitive holiday release season. The game's presence on Nintendo Switch 2 also makes it one of the earlier confirmed third-party titles for Nintendo's new console. Fans can pre-order now across all platforms ahead of the holiday release.
