Zombie Sagashitemasu Main Trailer Reveals Five Cast Members and Theme Songs

The production committee for Zombie Sagashitemasu released the anime's main trailer and second key visual on September 13, ahead of its October 3 Japanese television premiere. The update also named five additional cast members and confirmed the opening and ending theme performers.

What the main trailer reveals

The trailer opens on Aki's unsettling promise concerning the father she is searching for, then shifts into the bright energy that distinguishes the series from a conventional zombie survival story. It shows Aki, Natsuki, and Haru leaving their isolated village, meeting Yu and Sakura, and beginning a new life in a world crowded with the infected. Newly introduced characters Mikazuki and Touka also appear in the footage.

The accompanying visual places the five young leads in distinct poses as zombie hands close in around them. That contrast reflects the premise of Katsuwo's manga: 13 years after a mysterious infection killed 90 percent of humanity, a generation with no memory of the old world has grown up in protected settlements. Aki ventures outside with her childhood friends to find the father who previously left their village.

The footage moves between fights, travel, shared meals, vehicle repairs, and moments of discovery outside the village. Its emphasis is not limited to escaping attacks. The newcomers are shown building routines and relationships in unfamiliar territory, supporting the series' description of itself as an unconventional everyday-life story set amid a zombie catastrophe.

Miyari Nemoto leads the cast as Aki, with Lynn as Natsuki, Toshiya Miyata as Haru, Hibiku Yamamura as Yu, and Yuzuka Nukui as Sakura. Those five central voice roles had already been announced before this update. The main trailer gives this central group more room to establish the story's mix of danger, curiosity, and everyday companionship.

Five new roles and both theme songs

The newly announced cast expands the world beyond the central travelers. Yoko Hikasa plays Mikazuki, an experienced survivor who visits Aki's base while searching for separated companions. Makoto Koichi voices Touka, a mechanic rescued during a zombie attack. Tomoyo Takayanagi plays Takamo, the sharp-tongued commander of the Ueno base, while Aino Shimada plays her gentle 12-year-old brother Saigo. Kosuke Toriumi voices Aki's missing father, whose fate remains unclear.

Singer-songwriter Surii performs the opening theme, "ラキラキ," which he also wrote and composed. The song is scheduled for digital release on October 3. Pop unit cadode performs the ending theme, "ソフトアポカリプス," written by vocalist koshi and composed by eba, with its digital release set for October 4. Both tracks reinforce the production's focus on finding hope and momentum inside a post-apocalyptic setting.

Shinya Une directs the adaptation at Studio Comet, with Kyohei Suzuki as assistant director. Kenichi Yamashita and Aki Itami handle series composition and scripts, Narumi Shimoji designs the characters, and Kenta Higashioji composes the score. The source manga is published by Kadokawa in Comic Dengeki Daiohji, with its first three collected volumes currently available in Japan.

Zombie Sagashitemasu begins October 3 at 11:30 p.m. in TV Asahi's nationwide IMAnimation block. BS Asahi follows later that night, AT-X starts October 5, and ABEMA and d Anime Store receive the earliest streaming window after the television premiere. Other listed Japanese services begin carrying the series on October 8.
