The Vermilion Mask Sets October 10 Premiere With New Trailer, Themes and Six Cast Members

The Vermilion Mask will premiere in Japan on October 10, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV's nationwide network, excluding some regions. The date arrives with a second main trailer, a new key visual, two theme-song announcements, and six additional cast members for 100studio's television anime.

What the new trailer establishes

The second main promotional video begins with the "night of tragedy" that defines protagonist Peru d'Arrest's journey. Peru was once controlled by the Mask of the Warrior God and unintentionally killed his friends and his master, legendary mask maker Gaston Roux. He now travels to destroy the masks Gaston created before they cause further harm.

That premise drives the footage, which shows Peru confronting his guilt while fighting across rooftops and changing between spider, chameleon, cat, and other masks. Sonarue Maywood, Mok Sharib, Gouon, and several newly announced opponents also appear. The accompanying key visual places a wounded Peru alongside Sonarue and Mok, with hostile figures and the Mask of the Warrior God looming behind them.

MAN WITH A MISSION performs the opening theme, "Firestarter." The band described it as a powerful song intended to support the young characters as they face a cruel fate. Rock band yutori performs the ending theme, "Koe," which was written specifically for the anime. The group connected the song to Peru's struggle to carry an irreversible past while continuing to move forward. Both tracks can be heard in the new trailer.

Six more voices join the cast

The update expands the announced ensemble with characters positioned around Peru's conflict:

Kenji Nojima voices Hien, a member of Lisblanc's Governance Guard who reveres Gouon and begins pursuing Peru after a particular incident.

Aoi Koga voices Lasgarl, a quiet reader whose sound-controlling mask turns her into a ruthless combatant.

Yuki Shin voices Clown, a calculating figure who works in the shadows to collect masks.

Akihisa Wakayama voices Rinne, a powerful enemy aligned with the Mask of Necromancy.

Aya Endo voices the Mask of Necromancy, also called Aries, one of Gaston's most dangerous creations.

Yui Horie voices Master, a mysterious woman who uses the Mask of Dream.

Previously announced cast members include Takanori Hoshino as Gouon, Wataru Komada as Totoque, Junya Enoki as Zent, Kazuhiko Inoue as Gaston, and Akio Otsuka as the Mask of the Warrior God. Their roles broaden the story beyond Peru's traveling party, covering Lisblanc's authorities, Peru's former senior pupil, the master whose legacy drives the journey, and the mask behind the original tragedy.

The new performers join a main cast led by Taihi Kimura as Peru, Yuuki Yamamoto as Sonarue, and Kazuki Ura as Mok. Tetsuaki Watanabe directs, with Gai Hazako serving as assistant director and Daisuke Ohigashi handling series composition. Manga creators Dr. Poro and Nabana Naba supervise the story, Hisashi Higashijima is character designer and chief animation director, and Alisa Okehazama composes the music.

The anime adapts the manga written by Dr. Poro and illustrated by Nabana Naba, serialized in Shonen Gahosha's Young King OURs. Japanese catch-up and subscription services have been listed, while the international release is set for October on Crunchyroll. The next confirmed milestone is the Japanese broadcast premiere on October 10.
