Tomb Raider King Anime by Studio Eek Premieres July 8 on Crunchyroll
The Tomb Raider King anime adaptation by Studio Eek premieres July 8, streaming on Crunchyroll with Yoshimasa Hosoya and Saori Hayami leading the Japanese dub cast.

Studio Eek's animated adaptation of the hit Korean webtoon Tomb Raider King will premiere on July 8, 2026, streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll. The series will also air on Fuji TV's B8station programming block and Kansai TV in Japan, with Korea's Aniplus handling domestic broadcast.
A Webtoon Powerhouse Gets the Anime Treatment
Tomb Raider King is based on the popular Korean web novel by Sanji Jiksong, which was later adapted into a webtoon illustrated by 3B2S and published by Redice Studio on KakaoPage. The webtoon ran from June 2019 to March 2023 across 16 collected volumes and has also been published in English through Tapas and Yen Press. The story follows Seo Joo-Heon, a protagonist who returns 15 years into the past to steal powerful divine relics from tombs and exact revenge on those who betrayed him.
Studio Eek, the South Korean animation studio known for its work on Netflix's Love, Death & Robots, is handling the adaptation. Seung Wook Woo directs the series and is credited as series composer, with Hyun-Jung Lee serving as both character designer and chief animation director alongside Hyung Jun Heo. Ju Young Kim is composing the music.
Star-Studded Japanese Dub Cast
The Japanese voice cast features several high-profile names. Yoshimasa Hosoya takes on the lead role of Seo Joo-Heon, with Saori Hayami voicing Irene Holton. Junichi Suwabe plays Kwon Tae-Joon, Miyu Irino voices Yoo Jae-Ha, and Nobuhiko Okamoto rounds out the confirmed cast as Oh Seug-Woo.
A special world premiere event is scheduled for June 13, featuring cast members Hosoya, Hayami, Suwabe, and Okamoto. The event will give fans an early look at the series ahead of its July broadcast debut.
QWER Performs the Opening Theme
Korean girl group QWER will perform the Japanese opening theme song "Show Down," marking the group's first anime tie-up. The track will feature Japanese lyrics, bridging the series' Korean production roots with its Japanese broadcast audience. This crossover reflects the growing trend of K-pop acts contributing to anime soundtracks, following in the footsteps of groups that have increasingly found a home in the anime music space.
What to Expect This Summer
Tomb Raider King joins a stacked Summer 2026 anime lineup as yet another major Korean webtoon adaptation making the jump to animation. The series slots into the wave of manhwa-to-anime projects that have gained momentum following the global success of Solo Leveling. With a proven source material, a capable Korean studio, and a heavyweight Japanese voice cast, Tomb Raider King has the ingredients for a strong summer debut. Crunchyroll will stream the series across select countries and territories starting July 8.
