The Tank Chair TV anime revealed its four main cast members alongside a character promo video ahead of its fall 2026 premiere at Polygon Pictures.

Bandai Namco Filmworks has revealed the main cast for the upcoming Tank Chair TV anime, which is set to premiere in fall 2026. The announcement arrived alongside a character promo video spotlighting the four central roles and their voice actors.
Four cast members have been confirmed for the adaptation of Manabu Yashiro's action manga:
Koki Uchiyama as Nagi Taira: the strongest assassin and male lead, who was left in a comatose state after taking a bullet to protect his younger sister.
Minori Fujidera as Shizuka Taira: Nagi's younger sister and his partner in the field, the one who physically steers the "tank chair" into combat.
Gakuto Kajiwara as Naozumi Kurosaka: Nagi's former classmate who harbors an intense rivalry toward him.
Saori Hayami as Touko Kurosaka: Naozumi's younger sister and his own partner in the assassin underworld.
Uchiyama is known for voicing Meruem in Hunter x Hunter (2011) and Tomura Shigaraki in My Hero Academia, while Hayami's credits include Shouko Nishimiya in A Silent Voice and Shinobu Kocho in Demon Slayer. Kajiwara voiced Asta in Black Clover, and Fujidera is a rising talent whose casting here marks a significant role.
The CG-focused studio behind Knights of Sidonia and Ajin is handling animation production under Bandai Namco Filmworks. Tadahiro Yoshihira, who directed Knights of Sidonia: Love Woven in the Stars, and Hiroaki Ando, known for his work on Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and Ajin, are co-directing and writing the scripts. Yuki Moriyama is designing the characters, Kazuma Teshigahara is overseeing production design, and Masaru Yokoyama the composer behind Mashle: Magic and Muscles and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans is scoring the series.
Tank Chair is based on Manabu Yashiro's manga, which began serialization in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket in November 2022 before moving to Monthly Shonen Sirius in November 2024. The series currently has ten compiled volumes published by Kodansha, with Kodansha USA Publishing handling the English license and K MANGA simulpublishing chapters digitally.
The story follows a unique premise: Shizuka takes on the deadliest assassin jobs, but she is not the one doing the killing. Her brother Nagi, despite being confined to a wheelchair after his sacrifice, remains lethally dangerous when exposed to killing intent. Shizuka believes that immersing him in violence will eventually awaken him from his comatose state, setting the siblings on a brutal journey of recovery through the criminal underworld.
With the main cast now locked in and a character promo video circulating, Tank Chair appears on track for its fall 2026 broadcast window. The combination of the studio's CG animation expertise and a stacked voice cast positions it as one of the more distinctive action titles on the autumn slate. Further details on the premiere date, episode count, and streaming availability are expected in the coming months.
