Sasaki and Peeps Season 2 will begin Japanese television broadcasts on October 7, 2026, with a one-hour premiere on AT-X and Tokyo MX. BS NTV will carry its own one-hour opening broadcast on October 8. The date arrived alongside a main promotional video, a second key visual, theme-song details, and two cast additions.

When and where Season 2 begins

AT-X will air the premiere first, from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7. Tokyo MX follows that night from 11:00 p.m. to midnight. BS NTV begins its run on Thursday, October 8, also from 11:00 p.m. to midnight. The official schedule notes that broadcast dates and times remain subject to change.

The longer opening applies to the first episode. From Episode 2 onward, the regular slots return to 30 minutes: Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. on AT-X, Wednesdays at 11:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX, and Thursdays at 11:00 p.m. on BS NTV. AT-X has also scheduled repeat broadcasts on Fridays at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.

That timetable gives the sequel a defined weekly broadcast pattern immediately after its extended debut. No Season 2 streaming plan was included with the current Japanese broadcast schedule, but Crunchyroll has already confirmed that it will stream the season.

The new trailer expands the cast and music lineup

The main promotional video introduces Himegami-kun, voiced by Tasuku Hatanaka, and Eriel, voiced by Yuu Sasahara. Himegami-kun is described as a boy serving as the apostle of the angel Eriel in the proxy war between angels and demons. Eriel continues fighting on his behalf despite having little power of her own. The video places both characters opposite Sasaki, establishing their involvement in the next stage of the story.

The newly announced pair joins an established voice ensemble led by Tomokazu Sugita as Sasaki and Aoi Yuki as Peeps. The cast also includes Akari Kito as Neighbor, Rie Takahashi as Hoshizaki, Naomi Ozora as Futari Shizuka, Miyu Tomita as Elsa, Inori Minase as Magical Pink, Ryotaro Okiayu as Akutsu, Hiroki Yasumoto as Muller, and Mutsumi Tamura as Abaddon. The additions therefore connect directly to the angel-and-demon thread already represented by Neighbor and Abaddon.

MADKID performs the opening theme, "Unbroken," which is featured in the new video. The announcement also includes a second key visual showing the returning ensemble with Neighbor and Abaddon, while Magical Pink appears with an unidentified presence behind her. Together, the trailer and visual put the angel-and-demon conflict prominently beside the series' existing mix of modern supernatural action and otherworld fantasy.

Sasaki and Peeps adapts the light novel series written by Buncololi and illustrated by Kantoku. Its central duo consists of office worker Sasaki and Peeps, a pet Java sparrow who is actually a sage reincarnated from another world. Their access to magic and travel between worlds pulls Sasaki into both fantasy commerce and supernatural affairs in present-day Japan. The first television season ran for 12 episodes, and AT-X will rebroadcast all 12 on September 27 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. ahead of the sequel.

The next confirmed milestone is a Season 2 Episode 1 advance screening on September 22, followed by the September 27 Season 1 marathon and the television premiere on AT-X and Tokyo MX on October 7 and BS NTV on October 8.
