Rilakkuma Season 3 Announced With New Title, Visual and Trailer

San-X announced on September 12 that the Rilakkuma television anime will continue with a third season titled Kimama ni Manpuku Biyori. The confirmation came after episode 24 of the series currently airing on TBS in Japan, alongside a third promotional video and third key visual. Season 3 will begin with episode 25 on September 19.

What the new preview reveals

The newly released video pairs narration by singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta with scenes from the relaxed daily lives of Rilakkuma and friends. San-X identifies it as the anime's third promotional video. The accompanying third key visual places the characters outdoors amid autumn foliage, gathered around a meal, and displays the title of their next story.

Those materials establish a distinct seasonal identity for the newly confirmed installment while retaining the gentle everyday focus of the television project. San-X describes season 3 as a new story for the characters and says the preview lets viewers see more of their easygoing everyday lives.

The reveal was issued immediately after episode 24 aired, placing the renewal at a clear point in the current broadcast. San-X released the new title, visual, and video as a single package. Together, they confirm that the series will continue and establish the name and imagery being used for the characters' next story.

Ikuta also performs the television anime's theme song, "stay with me," which she wrote and composed. KOHD arranged the track. Her role extends beyond the song because she serves as narrator, making her voice part of both the ongoing series and the new promotional video released with the season 3 announcement.

Where season 3 fits in the TV project

Production I.G handles animation production for the Rilakkuma television series. Yoshimi Itazu directs its first half, while Yumi Kamakura directs the second half. The credited team also includes character designer Chie Morita, art director Suzuna Yamazaki, color designer Mayumi Sato, photography director Takahiro Okumura, editor Junichi Uematsu, and sound director Hiromi Kikuta. Kota Yokoseki, Yoshiya Ikeda, and Mizuki Kanno are credited for the music.

The current program airs on TBS every Saturday at 9:25 a.m., with additional TBS affiliates carrying it on their own schedules. Weekly on-demand distribution begins at 9:30 a.m. across services including ABEMA Premium, Prime Video, DMM TV, Hulu, U-NEXT, and other Japanese platforms.
