Re:ZERO Season 4 revealed a new key visual for its eight-episode Recapture Arc alongside a special Stay Alive performance, with Part 2 set to premiere on August 12.
Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 4 revealed a striking new key visual for its second cour, officially titled "The Recapture Arc," on June 17. The eight-episode continuation of Subaru's journey will premiere on August 12 following a one-month break after the conclusion of the Loss Arc in Part 1.
The freshly unveiled key visual offers a dramatic look at the next stage for Subaru and Emilia as the story pivots from the emotional turmoil of the Loss Arc into the Recapture Arc. Season 4 is structured as a consecutive two-cour run totaling 19 episodes, with Part 1 having delivered 11 episodes before the mid-season break. The remaining eight episodes will carry the series through its Recapture Arc when it returns in August.
The first episode of Part 2 will receive an early screening at Anime Expo 2026 during the KADOKAWA Anime 10th Anniversary Panel on July 3, giving attendees a preview weeks before the broadcast premiere.
Alongside the visual reveal, a special new performance of "Stay Alive" was released, performed by voice actress Rie Takahashi in character as Emilia. The rendition, titled "Stay Alive Regain," marks the first time Takahashi has performed the iconic song as Emilia since the original first season, making it a significant moment for longtime fans of the franchise.
The track was composed and arranged by Heart's Cry, who handled the original version. Takahashi shared her thoughts on revisiting the piece, stating that she aimed to preserve the spirit of the original while embracing it with the warmth Emilia carries today. The digital release of "Stay Alive Regain" became available on streaming platforms starting June 18.
White Fox continues to helm the production of Season 4, with director Masahiro Shinohara at the helm and series composition by Masahiro Yokotani. Kenichiro Suehiro returns to compose the score under KADOKAWA's production umbrella.
The core cast remains intact for the Recapture Arc. Yusuke Kobayashi reprises his role as Natsuki Subaru, Rie Takahashi returns as Emilia, Inori Minase voices Rem, and Yumi Uchiyama continues as Puck. The ensemble has been a cornerstone of the franchise since its debut, and their return ensures continuity as the story enters what promises to be a pivotal stretch of the narrative.
Re:ZERO Season 4 Part 2 premieres on August 12, with the series streaming on Crunchyroll. Fans attending Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles will have the earliest opportunity to see the Recapture Arc's opening episode during the KADOKAWA panel on July 3. The digital single "Stay Alive Regain" is available now on major music platforms.
