Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 Cour 2 Sets October 11 Premiere
Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2's second cour premieres in Japan on October 11 with a new trailer, visual, and theme songs by Humbreaders and KID PHENOMENON.

Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 will return for its second cour on October 11, 2026, in Japan. The anime's official team confirmed the date alongside a new promotional trailer, a key visual, and the artists behind both theme songs for the next stretch of the television season.
What the new trailer confirms
The second cour will take over the series' established Sunday broadcast slot on MBS and the TBS network. It begins at 5:00 p.m. Japan time on October 11, continuing Season 2 after the first cour completed its run in late June. The schedule gives viewers a firm starting point after the production previously announced only an October window.
Season 2 premiered on April 12 and its first cour ran for 12 episodes through June 28. The October return therefore continues the same season after a summer break rather than beginning a separately numbered sequel. MBS lists the program across a nationwide network of 28 stations, keeping the second cour in the Sunday evening slot used for the first half.
The new trailer offers the clearest preview yet of the story's return and includes portions of both newly announced theme songs. Japanese rock band Humbreaders performs the opening, "Forever Song," while dance and vocal group KID PHENOMENON performs the ending, "I'm still breathing." The accompanying key visual places the Yozakura family together under the line, "Let's end this, for our family."
That presentation fits the official setup for Season 2. Taiyo Asano and Mutsumi Yozakura enjoyed a period of calm after the fight against Tanpopo and their wedding reception, but the next mission brings the Yozakura family's history back into focus. Taiyo encounters the family's first head, Tsubomi Yozakura, in a dream and is given a difficult request. His search for answers leads toward contact with Makoto Kawashita, the Silver Rank spy exam, and the growing threat posed by Mutsumi's father, Momo Yozakura. No international streaming schedule for the second cour was included with the date announcement.
The returning production team
SILVER LINK. continues to handle animation production. Mirai Minato is credited as chief director and series composition writer, with Takahiro Nakatsugawa directing. Mizuki Takahashi returns as character designer. Manami Yamaguchi handles color design, Atsushi Sato is director of photography, Yohei Hirata directs the 3D work, and Koji Fujimoto provides the music. These are the main production credits carried over from the first cour.
The principal Yozakura family cast also remains central to the series. Reiji Kawashima voices Taiyo Asano, Kaede Hondo plays Mutsumi Yozakura, and Katsuyuki Konishi voices Kyoichiro Yozakura. Akari Kito, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Aoi Yuki, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and Yumi Uchiyama round out the main group of siblings as Futaba, Shinzo, Shion, Kengo, and Nanao.
Mission: Yozakura Family adapts Hitsuji Gondaira's completed manga, which ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2019 to 2025 and was collected in 29 volumes. Its story mixes spy action with family comedy, following Taiyo as his marriage to childhood friend Mutsumi pulls him into the dangerous lives of her superpowered siblings.
The confirmed next milestone is the second cour's Japanese television premiere on Sunday, October 11, at 5:00 p.m. on the MBS and TBS network lineup.
