The MARRIAGETOXIN anime released a Season 2 promotional video and main visual online on September 8. The new material arrives ahead of the sequel's January 2027 Japanese broadcast and revisits Hikaru Gero's search for a marriage partner alongside his battles with the series' elite fighters.

What the new trailer shows

The video is officially labeled the Season 2 Main Visual Reveal PV. Rather than presenting a long sequence of new scenes, it looks back at Gero's progress during the first season. It follows his continuing efforts to find a partner and recalls the dangerous encounters that shaped that search, including clashes with opponents known as the Masters.

That recap keeps the central contrast of MARRIAGETOXIN in focus. Gero comes from a centuries-old line of assassins and is trained as a poison user, but his mission is marriage rather than another contract. He works with Mei Kinosaki, a marriage swindler whose expertise gives him a way into a world he does not understand. Their partnership links the series' romantic goal with its battle-action framework.

The trailer's immediate news, however, is the main visual itself. It formally gives Season 2 its principal promotional image months before the new episodes begin. The official site published the announcement, while the video is available through the anime's YouTube channel. It also gives viewers a concise refresher before Season 2 begins.

What is in the Season 2 visual

The image places Gero and Kinosaki together against the large bridge connected to their first meeting in the anime's opening episode. Gero carries a syringe, reflecting his poison-user background, while Kinosaki holds a bouquet of flowers. The composition pairs the story's lethal profession with its marriage theme in a single image.

Its tagline translates to "Conquering love with poison." That line mirrors the central image: an assassin's tool is positioned beside a conventional symbol of romance. The bridge backdrop also returns the pair to the place where Gero saved Kinosaki in the first episode, making the new Season 2 artwork directly recognizable as a continuation of their shared story.

The series adapts the manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda, which began serialization on Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ service in April 2022. Its premise follows Gero and Kinosaki as they pursue his marriage goal while confronting threats rooted in the assassin world. The first television season aired from April through June 2026.

Season 2 is scheduled to begin in January 2027. A specific premiere day and international streaming plans have not yet been detailed. For now, the recap PV and its revealed main visual are the latest confirmed promotional milestones for the anime's continuation.
