Kill Blue has been renewed for a second season following the Season 1 finale on June 27, with creator Tadatoshi Fujimaki set to appear at Anime Expo 2026.

Kill Blue has officially been renewed for a second season. The announcement arrived on June 27, immediately after the Season 1 finale aired in Japan, accompanied by a celebratory illustration from creator Tadatoshi Fujimaki.
Based on Fujimaki's manga serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from April 2023 to September 2025, Kill Blue follows legendary hitman Juzo Ogami, who has never failed an assignment until a mysterious wasp sting traps him in the body of a 13-year-old boy. The manga ran for 13 volumes before concluding, and Viz Media handles the English-language release in both digital and print formats.
Season 1 debuted on April 11, 2026, airing across TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, TVQ, and AT-X. The first season ran for 12 episodes, marking a significant milestone for Studio CUE, which handled Kill Blue as its first full TV anime production.
The series was directed by Hiro Kaburagi, with character designs by Miho Daidoji, animation direction from Yasunori Ide, and music composed by Ryo Konishi. The voice cast features Yuko Sanpei as the child form of Juzo Ogami and Shunsuke Takeuchi as his adult form, alongside Fuka Izumi, Shuichiro Umeda, Takeo Otsuka, Atsumi Tanezaki, Yumi Uchiyama, and Daisuke Sakuma in supporting roles.
The show's musical identity also drew attention, with South Korean group aespa performing the opening theme "ATTITUDE" and boy band RIIZE handling the ending theme "KILL SHOT." For Studio CUE, the Season 2 greenlight validates its debut effort and positions the young studio for continued growth in the competitive TV anime landscape.
Season 1 is available on a broad lineup of platforms, including Crunchyroll, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten Viki, Plex, Samsung TV Plus, Vizio WatchFree+, and the It's Anime YouTube channel. English dub versions are accessible on Netflix and Prime Video, giving the series strong global reach heading into its second season.
Fujimaki is scheduled for a special panel and autograph session at Anime Expo 2026, taking place the week after the Season 2 announcement. The appearance gives international fans a rare chance to engage directly with the Kill Blue creator while momentum from the renewal is still fresh.
No release window or additional staff changes for Season 2 have been disclosed yet. With the source manga already complete at 13 volumes, Studio CUE has a full roadmap of material to draw from as production moves forward.
