Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 3 debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon weekly manga chart for May 11 with over 134,000 copies sold in its first week.

Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Vol. 3, the final volume of the JJK spinoff manga, debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon weekly manga chart dated May 11, 2026, moving 134,102 copies in its first tracked week.
The third and final volume of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo hit shelves on May 1, 2026, and wasted no time claiming the top spot on Japan's definitive manga sales tracker. The 134,102-copy debut places the spinoff comfortably among the highest first-week manga launches of 2026 so far, a remarkable feat for a series that only began serialization in September 2025.
Modulo, illustrated by Yuji Iwasaki and based on Gege Akutami's original Jujutsu Kaisen, is set 68 years after Sukuna's defeat in the year 2086. The story follows the Okkotsu siblings, Tsurugi and Yuka, in a world still shaped by the aftermath of curses and sorcerers. The series concluded its run in Weekly Shonen Jump in early 2026 after a brisk but well-received serialization.
Beyond wrapping up the main storyline, Vol. 3 features a special bonus extra chapter serving as a prologue to the wider Modulo narrative. The bonus chapter spotlights several key characters including Yuka Okkotsu, Tsurugi Okkotsu, Cross, Maru, antagonist Dabura, his sister Spejo, and even Yuji Itadori from the original series. Shueisha teased the chapter as showing "the future appearance of 'that character' who never appeared in Modulo," generating considerable fan anticipation ahead of the volume's release.
The volume also carries celebratory comments from 11 manga artists marking the series' conclusion, along with a new cover showcasing protagonists Cross and Maru.
Kagurabachi Vol. 11 landed at No. 2 on the same weekly chart with 65,138 copies, roughly half of Modulo's debut figure. The gap between the top two slots underscores the commercial pull that the Jujutsu Kaisen brand still commands, even through a spinoff title with a different artist at the helm.
Modulo's first two volumes, released on January 5 and March 4, 2026 respectively, also performed strongly during their debut weeks, setting the stage for the finale's chart-topping bow.
With Modulo now complete across three collected volumes, the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise's manga side enters a quieter phase. No new serialization from Gege Akutami has been announced, though the franchise continues to generate revenue through merchandise, events, and anime adaptations. An English release for Modulo Vol. 3 has not yet been confirmed, but given the brand's global popularity, localization is widely expected to follow in due course.
For fans in India, the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga is available digitally through the Manga Plus platform, and Modulo chapters were simulpublished there during serialization. Whether the collected volumes receive a physical English-language release accessible through Indian retailers remains to be seen.
The spinoff's commercial performance also raises questions about Shueisha's strategy for the JJK brand going forward. Modulo proved that a successor series set in the same universe can command chart-topping sales even without Akutami directly handling the artwork, opening the door for further expansions of the Jujutsu Kaisen world through new creative teams.
