The official website for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 has released a new trailer spotlighting the upcoming Chaos Breaker arc and confirmed several new cast members. The arc launches with Episode 8, titled "The Flying Fortress," on August 16, 2026.

New Voices Joining the Cast

Three major additions headline the casting announcement. Veteran voice actor Rikiya Koyama will portray Perugius Dola, the legendary figure whose floating fortress serves as a central location in the new arc. Koyama is widely recognized for his roles across anime and gaming, and his casting signals the gravity of Perugius's role in the story going forward.

Nanako Mori steps into the role of Atoferatofe Rybak, one of the more volatile and combat-driven characters from Rifujin na Magonote's original light novel series. Ayumi Tsunematsu rounds out the trio as Sylvaril of the Void, a character closely tied to Perugius and his inner circle.

Additionally, Kengo Kawanishi has been cast as Almanfi the Bright, another figure connected to Perugius Dola's retinue. Together, these new additions expand the ensemble significantly as the story shifts into higher-stakes territory.

What the Chaos Breaker Arc Holds

The newly released trailer offers a glimpse at the arc's setting and tone. According to the official synopsis, Nanahoshi, Rudeus, and their companions travel to Perugius's mysterious floating fortress, seeking adventure and a rare opportunity to learn new magic. However, disaster strikes when one of their group is afflicted by a deadly illness, setting the stage for the arc's central conflict.

The Chaos Breaker arc represents a major narrative turning point in the source material. Fans of the light novels, published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment, will recognize this stretch as one of the most emotionally intense portions of the story, bringing Rudeus into direct contact with powerful figures who have so far remained on the periphery of the plot.

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 began airing on July 5, 2026, with its initial run of episodes adapting the Eris Training Arc from the thirteenth volume of the light novel series. The transition into the Chaos Breaker arc at Episode 8 marks a shift in both setting and stakes.

Production Staff and Music

Studio Bind continues to helm the anime's production, maintaining the visual standard that has defined the series since its debut. Ryosuke Shibuya directs, with character designs handled by Sanae Shimada and Ryota Furukawa. Yoshiaki Fujisawa returns to compose the score.

The season's musical lineup also features notable artists. Yuiko Ohara performs the opening theme "Ketsui no Uta," while Mika Nakashima contributes the ending theme "Inori, Owareba." Both tracks complement the series' signature blend of sweeping fantasy and grounded emotional storytelling.

Where to Watch

Crunchyroll is streaming Mushoku Tensei Season 3 as part of its Summer 2026 lineup, with episodes available in both subtitled and English-dubbed formats. The series also broadcasts on Tokyo MX and BS11 in Japan.

With the Chaos Breaker arc set to begin on August 16, viewers can catch up on the first seven episodes now streaming on Crunchyroll before the story takes its dramatic turn into Perugius's domain.
