Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe Sets Blu-ray Date and Theater Rerelease

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will reach Japanese home video on January 27, 2027. Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray, and DVD editions are scheduled for general sale, while a nationwide two-week theatrical rerelease begins December 11, 2026, ahead of the package launch.

What is being released

The January launch covers three physical formats, giving buyers a standard Blu-ray option alongside the higher-resolution 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray and DVD releases. Reservations for the packages opened in Japan on October 15, the same day the release schedule and returning theatrical engagement were announced.

A separate quantity-limited Blu-ray edition will include a recording script. That version is scheduled to go on sale at participating theaters during the December rerelease, placing it ahead of the wider January retail launch. An online advance movie ticket is also being offered in a bundle with the limited Blu-ray through Movie Walker Store.

The theater-first arrangement means the limited package and the general retail editions follow different schedules. The early edition is tied to the film's return to cinemas, while the broader Blu-ray, 4K, and DVD lineup retains the January 27 date.

Newly drawn artwork prepared for reservation bonuses for the quantity-limited and special limited editions has also been revealed. The package announcement therefore covers both the main format lineup and the collector-focused products connected to the rerelease.

The return to theaters

The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will return to cinemas across Japan from December 11 through December 24. The engagement is explicitly limited to two weeks and serves as the lead-in to the film's home-video release the following month.

A commemorative stage greeting is scheduled for December 12 in Tokyo. The announced event adds a confirmed in-person milestone during the brief run, one day after screenings restart. Advance online movie tickets for the rerelease went on sale alongside the home-video reservations.

The movie is the second chapter of the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film project. It originally opened in Japan on January 30, 2026, continuing the story of Hathaway Noa in the Universal Century timeline. The project adapts Yoshiyuki Tomino's novel series and has been announced as a three-film production.

For now, the next confirmed milestone is the nationwide rerelease beginning December 11. Its December 24 conclusion will be followed by the general Japanese home-video launch on January 27, 2027.
