Charisma will premiere on January 7, 2027, across 28 stations in the TBS network in Japan. The television anime will air every Thursday at 11:56 p.m., while Shinnosuke Tachibana and Tomohiro Ohno have joined the cast as two additional characters connected to Charisma House.

January broadcast details

The exact start date and weekly time slot were announced alongside a new teaser video on November 1. The reveal came during Charismania, a fifth anniversary event for the original media project held at Toyosu PIT in Tokyo. The teaser marks the first look at footage from the television anime, showing the seven established leads in the hectic communal routines that define the series.

Charisma began as a multimedia project centered on seven men living together while cultivating their own unusual ideas of charisma. Its principal characters are Fumiya Ito, Rikai Kusanagi, Iori Motohashi, Kei Sarukawa, Ohse Minato, Terra, and Amahiko Tendo. The anime keeps that ensemble at the center while adding two more named characters to the cast.

The official premise presents Charisma House as a temporary home for people who have not yet reached what it calls “true charisma.” They study their own qualities, live alongside other distinct personalities, and turn adversity into the energy that carries them toward that goal. That setup makes the ordinary rhythms of communal life part of the project's comic identity. The teaser reflects that focus by emphasizing the residents together instead of introducing a separate plot for the adaptation.

Tachibana will voice Soemon Nakagami, and Ohno will voice Shu Torahime. They join Yuki Ono as Fumiya, Masahiro Yamanaka as Rikai, Katsumi Fukuhara as Iori, Kenta Hosoda as Kei, Saku Hyuga as Ohse, Genki Okawa as Terra, and Tomohisa Hashizume as Amahiko. The official materials have not yet explained how Soemon and Shu enter the house's story.

The team behind Charisma

Joji Furuta is directing the series at Pierrot Films. Shu Matsubara, who is also credited on the original work with Dazed Co., Ltd., is handling series composition and scripts. Ebimo provided the original character concepts, while Haru Watanabe is adapting the designs for animation and serving as a chief animation director with Han Seungah.

The supporting production credits include Seiki Tamura as art director, Yukiko Kakita on color design, Susumu Fukushi as director of photography, and Kumiko Sakamoto as editor. Kyoko Wada and Matsubara share sound direction duties. Gesshoku Kaigi is composing the music, with Evil Line Records overseeing music production. TBS is credited as the production manager, and the overall production is credited to Charisma Anime.

The teaser also introduces the cast performance “Mite Mite Anime no Charisma.” The song is scheduled for a digital release on November 4. It reworks the music associated with commercial transitions on TBS's All Star Thanksgiving Festival, pairing that familiar television cue with new lyrics for the anime project.

The January 7 broadcast date, weekly Thursday slot, two additional cast members, and the main production staff are now confirmed. Further distribution details have not been announced. The rollout now has both its first preview and a firm television launch point. The November 4 song release is the next dated milestone before Charisma reaches television in January.
