The One Piece Heroines TV special unveiled a new trailer and theme song Blue Shining Star by AiNA THE END ahead of its July 5 broadcast on Fuji TV.

The One Piece Heroines anime special has released a new trailer alongside the reveal of its theme song, "Blue Shining Star," performed by AiNA THE END. The special is set to premiere on Fuji TV on July 5, 2026, at 11:15 p.m. JST.
One Piece Heroines adapts the "episode: NAMI" chapter from the ONE PIECE novel HEROINES series, a collection of standalone prose stories spotlighting the fierce female characters of Eiichiro Oda's world. The novels, originally written by Jun Esaka with illustrations by Sayaka Suwa, began serialization in One Piece Magazine in 2019. Viz Media has licensed the English-language release of the light novels, with the second volume published in July 2025.
The Nami-focused story follows the Straw Hat navigator after she purchases a pair of shoes that end up hurting her feet. When she returns to the shop, she meets Lebno, a shoe designer who offers her a deal: he will craft a brand-new pair from scratch, but only if she agrees to be his model. The shoes are then made by an artisan named Miucha, leading to an unexpected and stylish encounter. The anime adaptation will also incorporate anime-original elements beyond the source material.
The freshly released trailer gives viewers their first extended look at the special's animation and character designs in motion. Nami takes center stage as the footage previews her interactions with the original characters Lebno and Miucha, set against the backdrop of a vibrant fashion-infused storyline. The trailer also features the first listen of "Blue Shining Star," AiNA THE END's new track written for the project. The singer has described the song as an effort to portray women who possess inner strength while finding a way to break free from the difficulties they face in life.
Haruka Kamatani is directing the special, with Takashi Kojima handling character designs and Momoka Toyoda writing the screenplay. Alisa Okehazama is composing the music. On the voice acting side, Maaya Sakamoto joins the cast as Miucha, the artisan shoemaker, while Takehito Koyasu voices Lebno, the eccentric shoe designer. Both are veteran performers well known across the anime industry Sakamoto for roles spanning decades and Koyasu as a mainstay villain voice.
One Piece Heroines will air in the main One Piece anime's regular timeslot on Fuji TV on Saturday, July 5, at 11:15 p.m. JST, which translates to 10:15 a.m. EDT for North American viewers. The special takes over the weekly slot typically occupied by the ongoing One Piece series, signaling Toei Animation's confidence in the Heroines brand as a complement to the flagship show. Crunchyroll, which streams the main One Piece anime, is expected to carry the special for international audiences, though an official simulcast confirmation has not yet been announced.
With the premiere now less than two weeks away, the new trailer and theme song reveal mark the final stretch of the promotional campaign for what could become a recurring format the Heroines novel series features multiple standalone stories centered on different One Piece women, leaving the door open for future adaptations beyond Nami's episode.
