Shibuya was a warm-up. The Culling Game is here, MAPPA is back, and the rules of Jujutsu are about to break completely.

The dust has barely settled on the Shibuya Incident, but MAPPA isn't giving us time to breathe.
It is official: Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is in production, and it is tackling the Culling Game arc. If you thought the Shibuya arc was dark, I have some bad news for you. It gets worse.
The announcement dropped via a short teaser featuring Yuji Itadori and Yuta Okkotsu (yes, he is back in the main timeline). The visual style seems to be keeping the gritty, sketch-heavy aesthetic from Season 2, which is a massive win.
Shibuya was a containment breach. The Culling Game is a battle royale.
Without spoiling the manga, the scale shifts from "protect the city" to "survive the game." We are going to see a lot of new characters, complex rule systems (seriously, you might need a notebook), and fights that are more about strategy than just raw power.
We all know the stories about the production schedule for Season 2. It was brutal.
With Chainsaw Man movie work wrapping up, fans are hoping the team has had a healthier schedule this time around. The animation quality in the teaser looks crisp, but we'll see if they can maintain it for a 20+ episode run.
Release Window: Late 2026 / Early 2027 Hype Level: Domain Expansion levels of high.
