Chained Soldier Season 3 Anime Officially Confirmed at Special Event

Chained Soldier will return for a third season. The announcement came during a special event held on August 2 in Japan celebrating the anime's second season, accompanied by an announcement video and a new key visual.

A Franchise on the Rise

The confirmation marks another milestone for the action-ecchi series adapted from the manga by writer Takahiro and artist Yohei Takemura. Published by Shueisha and licensed in English by Yen Press, the manga has steadily built an audience since its serialization began. The anime adaptation has expanded the franchise's reach considerably, with the second season drawing strong viewership after its premiere on January 8, 2026, running for 12 episodes.

Takemura shared the news on X, writing that thanks to fans' support, the second season was a huge success and that a third season has officially been confirmed. Character designer Keiya Nakano also contributed a celebratory illustration to mark the occasion.

The second season was helmed by director Masafumi Tamura at studios Passione and Hayabusa Film, with Keiya Nakano serving as character designer. The duo's unconventional partnership forms the backbone of the series, blending action sequences with ecchi comedy as they navigate the dangers of Mato and the political intrigue within the Corps.
