Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 Sets Its Premiere for 2027
Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 will air in 2027, with Ryota Osaka confirming that voice recording for the sequel is already underway.

Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 will air in 2027, giving the dark-fantasy anime its first confirmed broadcast year. Ryota Osaka, the voice of protagonist Fate Graphite, also revealed that voice recording is already underway as the returning cast works on the sequel.
The sequel now has a broadcast year
The new announcement moves Season 2 beyond a general production confirmation and places its television return somewhere in 2027. A specific month, seasonal window, episode count, and broadcast schedule have not yet been disclosed, so the date remains broad. Even so, the year gives viewers a clearer idea of when Fate's next animated chapter is expected to arrive.
Because the announcement provides only a calendar year, all four of 2027's usual anime broadcast seasons remain possible. Assigning the sequel to winter, spring, summer, or fall would go beyond the information currently available. The same applies to any countdown toward a particular month. A narrower window will need to come in a later production update.
A celebratory video featuring Osaka accompanied the timing reveal. The update centers on the production's progress rather than footage from the new season, with no full trailer or detailed story preview announced alongside it. That makes the 2027 window and the start of recording the two key developments for now.
The sequel continues the anime adaptation of Ichika Isshiki's light novel series, illustrated by fame. Its first television season debuted in October 2023. That run introduced Fate as a young man dismissed because his Gluttony skill appeared useless, only for him to discover that it could take power from enemies he defeated. The discovery pulled him into increasingly dangerous battles while forcing him to manage an ability driven by relentless hunger.
Voice recording is already in progress
Osaka's update shows that Season 2 has reached an active recording stage. He returns as Fate, while Tomokazu Seki voices Greed, the black sword that serves as Fate's sharp-tongued companion. Osaka indicated that the pair again share substantial back-and-forth in the recording booth.
The actor also described a playful recording environment in which Seki contributes ad-libs and Osaka responds with additions of his own. Whether every improvised line survives the final edit remains unknown, but the comments offer an early glimpse at how the central partnership is being performed for the sequel. Recording being underway does not establish how far animation or post-production has progressed, and no additional production milestone was included in the reveal.
What remains unannounced
The 2027 premiere year leaves several major details for later updates. The production has not yet narrowed the launch to a particular anime season, and the latest announcement does not set out an episode total or a complete Season 2 staff roster. It also does not identify where the new episodes will stream outside Japan.
For now, the confirmed picture is limited but concrete: the anime is due back in 2027, recording has begun, and Osaka and Seki are again performing Fate and Greed. The next meaningful update should clarify the exact broadcast window and provide the first substantial look at the sequel itself.
