Wind Breaker Season 2 launched on Netflix worldwide on April 2, 2026, with CloverWorks animation and director Toshifumi Akai returning for a 13 episode run.

Wind Breaker Season 2 arrived on Netflix worldwide on April 2, 2026, continuing the CloverWorks animated adaptation of Satoru Nii's high school brawler manga less than a month after the first season landed on the same platform. The two season package gives Netflix subscribers an immediate binge route into the Bofurin street fighting saga.
Netflix added Wind Breaker Season 1 to its global catalogue in March 2026, ahead of the April 2 launch of the second season. The strategy is unusual: most simulcast anime arrive on Netflix months or years after their original Japanese broadcast, but Wind Breaker's two season jump start aligns Netflix's library with the rest of the streaming market in one quick window. Both seasons stream globally with English, Japanese, and a slate of other dub and subtitle options.
CloverWorks animates the series, with Toshifumi Akai directing and Hiroshi Seko writing the screenplay. Akai's work includes episode direction on a string of recent CloverWorks projects, while Seko has built a long resume that spans Vinland Saga, Attack on Titan The Final Season, and the recent Mushoku Tensei adaptations. Aniplex of America licenses the show in North America, with Crunchyroll handling the broader distribution and dub production for new episodes.
The series follows Haruka Sakura, a tough talking outsider who arrives at Furin High School expecting to fight his way to the top of a school full of delinquents. Instead he finds Bofurin, an organisation of student fighters who use their reputation to protect the surrounding neighbourhood. Season 2 picks up after Sakura has accepted a place inside Bofurin and dives into a tournament arc that brings several rival factions into the story for the first time.
Nii's Wind Breaker manga has been serialised in Magazine Pocket since 2021, with 25 volumes published in Japan. Season 2 adapts material through approximately volume 11, covering chapters 90 and 91, which gives the production a generous runway for further seasons if the streaming numbers hold. Kodansha USA publishes the manga in English in print and digital editions.
Netflix India lists both seasons of Wind Breaker in its anime catalogue from April 2, with Japanese audio and English subtitles available. The first season has been one of Netflix India's more visible spring 2026 anime additions, having been promoted on the service's home page in the lead up to Season 2's arrival. No Hindi language dub has been announced for either season at this time.
The second season runs for 13 episodes in Japan, with a finale slated for early July. CloverWorks has not commented on a third season, though the manga's continued publication in Japan gives the franchise plenty of material to draw on if the production committee decides to greenlight more episodes.
