The SSS-Class Revival Hunter anime released its second promotional video on October 11, 2026, introducing eight additional cast members and confirming THE SPELLBOUND with BOOM BOOM SATELLITES for the ending theme. The television series is scheduled to begin airing in Japan in January 2027 on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block and other stations.

Eight hunters join the voice cast

The newly announced performers cover several of the powerful hunters surrounding protagonist Gongja Kim. Toshiki Masuda voices the Flame Emperor, the top-ranked hunter whom Gongja admires at the start of the story, while Megumi Han plays the second-ranked Witch of the Black Dragon.

The rest of the additions are Sayaka Kinoshita as Paladin, Risa Shimizu as Countess, Makoto Furukawa as Poisonous Viper, Natsumi Fujiwara as Inquisitor, Yuka Iguchi as Master Alchemist, and Shunsuke Sakuya as Blade Saint. The group expands the cast beyond the previously revealed leads Takeo Otsuka as Gongja and Satoshi Hino as the Sword Emperor.

These roles also outline the wider power structure around Gongja. Several of the characters lead guilds, while Blade Saint is a former number-one hunter who relies on exceptional swordsmanship rather than a special skill. Their arrival in the second trailer gives the adaptation a clearer picture of the rivals, allies, and authority figures involved in Gongja's climb.

Paladin serves as the deputy leader of a public-order guild. Countess, Poisonous Viper, Inquisitor, and Master Alchemist each head organizations with different interests, placing much of the new lineup near the top of the tower's society rather than around its margins. Blade Saint adds another measure of established strength as someone who once held the number-one rank.

What the second trailer shows

The new video contains the anime's first publicly shown footage. It follows Gongja as an F-rank hunter who has failed to awaken a skill and looks up to the Flame Emperor. After betrayal and despair, he uses an S+ rank copy ability that activates when he dies, allowing him to copy the Flame Emperor's skill that sends him back 24 hours upon death.

That premise turns death into the mechanism behind Gongja's progress rather than the end of his journey. The trailer also brings the Sword Emperor, Gongja's eventual ghostly companion, into the action alongside Blade Saint and the newly introduced hunters. Together, the footage establishes the central partnership and the hierarchy Gongja will have to navigate.

The production is directed by Hiroaki Sakurai, with animation handled by Studio fu. The anime adapts the Korean novel and its comic version, following Gongja and the Sword Emperor as they pursue the top hunter position inside a world transformed by a mysterious tower filled with monsters.

THE SPELLBOUND and BOOM BOOM SATELLITES will jointly perform the ending theme. The announcement did not provide the song's title, but the artists said the track was shaped around the story's idea of death as a new starting point and the drive to keep changing the future.

SSS-Class Revival Hunter remains set for a January 2027 Japanese broadcast on Fuji TV's +Ultra block and other stations. The second trailer is the latest confirmed look at the anime, with its expanded cast and ending-theme performers now in place ahead of the January broadcast premiere in Japan.
