Studio Deen's SHIBOYUGI: Cloudy Beach anime film unveiled a new trailer and full player roster ahead of its two-week Japanese theatrical run starting July 10.

Studio Deen has released a new trailer and key visual for SHIBOYUGI: Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table 44: Cloudy Beach, the theatrical follow-up to the Winter 2026 TV anime. The film begins a two-week theatrical run in Japan on July 10, 2026.
The original TV anime adapted Yushi Ukai's light novel series, illustrated by Nekometaru and published under Kadokawa's MF Bunko J imprint. The novels follow characters who stake their lives in elaborate death games to earn a living a darkly pragmatic twist on the survival-game genre. The series ranked first in the 2024 edition of the "This Light Novel is Amazing!" competition, and nine volumes have been published as of January 2026.
Cloudy Beach serves as a direct continuation of the television series, transporting the cast to an island setting where the stakes are raised by a new, deadlier game format. The newly released trailer highlights the escape-oriented nature of the Cloudy Beach game, with gameplay further complicated by the presence of a killer stalking the island's players.
The trailer confirmed the complete voice cast for the film's player lineup. Chiyuki Miura reprises her role as Yuki, the series protagonist, while Yume Miyamoto returns as Airi. The new cast additions round out the island's roster of competitors:
Essei: Anna Nagase
Koyomi:Yukari Tamura
Hizumi: Konomi Inagaki
Maguma: Aino Shimada
Mitsuba: Riko Akechi
Mozuku: Hikaru Tono
Veteran voice actress Yukari Tamura, known for decades of prominent roles across the anime industry, is among the most notable additions to the ensemble as the character Koyomi.
The core creative team from the TV anime carries over to the film. Sota Ueno returns as director, with Rintaro Ikeda handling series composition and Eri Osada reprising her role as character designer. Studio Deen continues as the animation production house. Noriyoshi Konuma serves as sound director for the project.
An official guide book tied to the film is also scheduled for release on July 24, 2026, two weeks after the theatrical premiere.
With the full player roster now locked in and the trailer teasing the killer-on-the-island twist, SHIBOYUGI: Cloudy Beach is shaping up as a compact, high-tension theatrical event for fans of the franchise. The two-week screening window beginning July 10 means Japanese audiences will have a limited opportunity to catch the film in cinemas. International streaming or distribution plans have not yet been announced.
