Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in October 2027, as announced by Studio Trigger at Anime Expo 2026 alongside a first teaser visual.

Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 will premiere on Netflix in October 2027. Studio Trigger unveiled the news during its Anime Expo 2026 panel on July 2, debuting an ultra teaser visual for the anticipated continuation of the fantasy cooking anime.
The announcement arrived at Studio Trigger's dedicated panel at Anime Expo in Los Angeles, where the studio shared the first look at the second season. The teaser visual offered a fresh glimpse of the adventuring party as they prepare to delve deeper into the dungeon. Netflix will once again serve as the exclusive global streaming home for the series, continuing the partnership that brought the first season to worldwide audiences in January 2024.
Alongside the anime reveal, a Ryoko Kui Exhibition and Delicious in Dungeon Exhibition opened in Los Angeles, running through July 26, 2026, giving fans a chance to experience the world of the manga and its creator up close during the convention season.
The core staff from Season 1 is confirmed to return for the new season. Yoshihiro Miyajima will continue directing at Studio Trigger, with Kimiko Ueno back as story editor. Character designer Naoki Takeda will reprise his role shaping the visual identity of the cast, while acclaimed composer Yasunori Mitsuda returns to score the series. Kohei Yoshida rounds out the confirmed returning staff as sound director.
On the voice acting side, Kentaro Kumagai will reprise his role as Laios, the food-obsessed leader of the adventuring party, and Sayaka Senbongi returns as Marcille, the elven mage. Additional cast announcements have not yet been made, but the confirmation of the two leads signals continuity with the first season's beloved performances. The Delicious in Dungeon radio program, hosted by Kumagai and Senbongi, is also set to resume.
The anime adapts Ryoko Kui's manga, which was serialized in Enterbrain's Harta magazine beginning in February 2014 and concluded in September 2023 after 14 collected volumes. The English-language edition is published by Yen Press. The first season covered roughly the opening half of the manga across its 24-episode run, meaning Season 2 has substantial source material remaining to adapt as Laios and his companions push further into the dungeon's depths.
The series follows Laios, Marcille, Chilchuck, and Senshi as they navigate a sprawling underground labyrinth, surviving not by conventional provisions but by cooking and eating the very monsters they encounter. The premise blends genuine culinary creativity with dungeon-crawling adventure, a combination that earned the manga widespread acclaim and helped the anime become one of Netflix's standout anime acquisitions. Food illustrator Mao Momiji, who designed the anime's detailed food illustrations in the first season, contributed to the series' distinctive visual appeal.
With an October 2027 window now locked in, Delicious in Dungeon Season 2 joins a growing slate of high-profile anime sequels in production at Studio Trigger. The studio's Anime Expo panel reinforced Trigger's active pipeline, and the return of the complete creative team suggests the second season aims to maintain the standard set by its predecessor. Further details, including an exact premiere date and additional cast reveals, are expected in the months ahead as the October 2027 launch approaches.
