Daemons of the Shadow Realm is officially returning for Season 2. The continuation was announced on September 20, 2026. The anime's official website added a Season 2 banner, while Aniplex published a short teaser on its official YouTube channel, bringing the central characters back into view after the first season's 24th and final episode.

The announcement establishes that a second television season is in production. Its teaser is built around quick glimpses of the characters at the center of the supernatural conflict, including twins Yuru and Asa, before landing on the confirmation that their story will continue. An accompanying visual places the ensemble against a nighttime cityscape, keeping the focus on the cast rather than revealing a new location or storyline.

That restrained approach makes the limits of the news just as important as the headline. The production has not announced a premiere date or broadcast window. It has also not detailed the Season 2 episode count, returning production staff, or streaming plans. Daemons of the Shadow Realm adapts Hiromu Arakawa's manga, serialized by Square Enix in Monthly Shonen Gangan. Its story follows Yuru and Asa, twins drawn into a struggle involving paired supernatural beings known as Daemons. Their separation, opposing circumstances, and unusual inherited roles form the spine of a conflict that expands beyond their mountain village.

The official site identifies the manga as Arakawa's latest work and says it has passed 7.5 million copies in circulation. It also credits Square Enix, Aniplex and Bones Film as the core companies behind the television project, with Bones supervising production and Bones Film handling animation.

Bones Film animated the first season. Masahiro Ando directed, Noboru Takagi handled series composition, Nobuhiro Arai served as character designer and chief animation director, and Kenichiro Suehiro composed the music. Together, they define the creative team responsible for the 24-episode first season.

The official cast listing for the first season includes Kensho Ono as Yuru and Yume Miyamoto as Asa. Yuichi Nakamura voices Dera, while Misaki Kuno plays Gabu-chan. Rikiya Koyama and Takako Honda voice the paired Daemons Right and Left. The teaser's return to the familiar ensemble establishes story continuity without making the video a full cast announcement.
